How Our Puppies are Raised:
Our litters are raised in a home environment and bred with the utmost care. The sire and dam of each litter have hips, elbows, eye clearances and PRCD PRA Entlebucher test where applicable. We allow visitors and encourage early socialization after the age of 3 weeks. I have friends that love to come and smell the "puppy breath". I am very protective and everyone gets a lesson on how to handle the puppies prior to each visit.
I place puppies in their new homes at 8 weeks. Each litter is vet checked, vaccinated, wormed and micro-chipped prior to leaving. I also provide care instructions and information needed to assist the new puppy owner. Each puppy goes to thier new home with a blankie that has the Mother's smell on it. This helps during the first few nights in its new home. Potential families are interviewed and if you are unable to come and pick up your puppy, you can rest assured that I will pick a puppy that best fits the dynamics of your family. I have experience in placing the correct puppy in the home that best suits them. I watch and observe the puppies from day one, and can place them where they will thrive. Directly below, is a questionaire. If you are interested in a Blue-Jay Ently, please fill it out and let me know more about you, to assist in finding the right puppy for you.

As a general rule, I dock the tails of my litters. I was originally attracted to the breed by thier gorgeous looks which included at that time, the docked tail. In Europe they were originally docked, but now it is against the breeding rules to dock. Having had Miniature Pinschers for years, I was familiar and like with having dogs with docked tails. If people on the street see them with a docked tail, they can not figure out what they are, but the docked tail sets them apart from the average sized tri-colored dog. Here in the United States it is perfectly acceptable to have a natural or docked tail for show purposes. It is all a matter of personal preference. On rare occasion, I will keep a puppy undocked. The puppy has to be selected at 4 days of age. Just let me know and we can discuss it.
